AJ Bell Great Bristol half marathon 2027

Almost 1,000 members of our community participate in the annual Great Bristol Run. Conquer the streets, and run, walk or jog the Great Bristol half marathon with us.

A sellout citywide event, we are back with another AJ Bell Great Bristol Run, working in partnership once again with the Great Run Company on Sunday 9 May 2027.

Discover the joy of running through the heart of Bristol with the Great Bristol half marathon – an inclusive and exciting experience for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just taking your first steps in the world of running, this event welcomes all abilities.

Picture yourself weaving through Bristol’s scenic streets in one of our red #WeAreBristol performance t-shirts. From the picturesque harbourside to historic landmarks, we’ll be there to cheer you on.

This event counts towards Pathway 2 and 3 of the Bristol Run Series.

Event details

• Provisional half marathon start time: 10:40 am
• Registration: Once we process your entry with the Great Run Company, you will receive a registration email from 'Let's Do This'. Please fill out this form to confirm your entry with the Great Run Company. Please note that your entry is not guaranteed until this form has been submitted. If you haven't received this email two weeks after purchasing your ticket, please contact sports-events@bristol.ac.uk.
• Race packs: When entry is confirmed with the Great Run Company, race packs will be posted to your chosen address. If you have not received your race pack, please contact the Great Run Company directly.
• Places are available on a first come first serve basis. Subsidised University of Bristol entries will close on 18 April 2027 (or before if the event reaches capacity).

Ticket prices vary depending on whether you are a student, staff, or alumni and community of the University of Bristol. View the different prices below.

*VAT is a tax added to most products and services sold by VAT-registered businesses in the UK.

Your ticket price will be confirmed after you select your ticket category in the next stage of the transaction.
