Barbara, who died on 4 April at the age of 98, was a pioneering figure in veterinary anaesthesia. She qualified MRCVS at the Royal Veterinary College in 1949 before moving to the University of Bristol in 1957, where she spent the rest of her career. 

 

The event will celebrate the life and work of Barbara Weaver, professor of veterinary anaesthesia, bringing together colleagues, collaborators, former students, friends and family, with lectures delivered by those who worked alongside her to reflect on her contributions to anaesthesia and analgesia.
