By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Select appropriate posterior composite materials and placement techniques, including layering approaches and anatomical reconstruction strategies, for Class II restorations.

Demonstrate effective bonding protocols, including correct adhesive application to optimise enamel and dentine bonding and achieve predictable adhesion in Class II posterior composite restorations.

Demonstrate the use of sectional matrix systems and composite placement techniques to achieve optimal proximal contacts, contours and anatomical form.

Enhance posterior composite restorations using finishing, polishing, and characterisation techniques, including the appropriate use of composite stains to create natural fissure anatomy and aesthetics.

Evaluate Class II posterior composite restorations by assessing proximal contacts, occlusion, anatomy, marginal integrity, and overall clinical outcomes.
